Kevin M. Prochaska
The
author graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor
of Science degree in Geology, and from Western Michigan University
with a Master of Science degree.
He began his professional career as a petroleum
geologist in the oil fields of South Texas, and later worked throughout
the United States and Europe in the environmental industry. He has
written numerous technical documents dealing with environmental
issues, and has been a contributing editor in scientific study guides
for high school students.
The product of a small Iowa town, he is the tenth
child of thirteen, and many of his stories owe their origin to childhood
events. His first book, A Shot Heard ‘Round,
tells the humorous story of a small Iowa town and its comical cast
of quirky but lovable citizens. In his second book, The
Christmas Letter, inspired by the life of his mother, the author
takes a poignant look at the bond that forms between a young boy
and his grandmother. In his third book, The
Road to Apology, he returns to his small Iowa town with fifteen
short stories about Iowa and its people and the humorous situations
they manage to get themselves into.
The author lives in Kennesaw, Georgia with wife
Nancy and children Cassie, Sarah, Heather, and Thomas
